I replaced an older, monochrome Garmin GPS/Sounder with this unit and at first was dubious because the screen size was smaller, but the clarity, color and brightness of the display have quickly dispelled that concern. The refresh rate, clarity of symbols and ease of use have made the retirement of my old navigator a pleasure. The only downside to the conversion was the need to also replace the wiring. I could have done without that pain, and don't understand why the plug size change was all that necessary.

This is a good value and easy to install, set-up and use on your boat. We have this on three of our mid sized boats. Highly recommended.
